This year I discovered the joy of giving blood. I had always been afraid to do it before, but after learning that Cheides' dad had needed several transfusions to get him through surgery, I realized just how important it really is. Now I feel so good every time I do it. And it's great to know I have the universal type of blood, so I can give it to anyone!
